Liberty University is back on the No. 24 Chevrolet this weekend as Byron and Co. head to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the 20th race of the 2019 season. Byron is currently 12th in the driver standings, 46 points above the playoff cutoff line.

Byron looked poised to contend for his first win before a late-race penalty relinquished him deep within the field, forcing him to fight his way back to an 18th-place finish at Kentucky Speedway. He remains 12th in the NASCAR Cup Series driver points standings.

Byron, a Charlotte native, grew up around the race tracks, going with his father, Bill, since he was 6 years old. He began training on an iRacing simulator as a teenager, racking up over 100 wins and 298 top-5 finishes. In 2012, when he was 15 and still a student at Charlotte Country Day, he began an incredible journey that has led him to Hendrick Motorsports and the driver seat of the No. 24 Chevrolet.

Crossing the halfway mark of the 2019 Cup Series season, Byron is hitting his stride with the No. 24 team. He returns to Kentucky Speedway this weekend behind the wheel of the Axalta Chevrolet. He visited Victory Lane there in 2016 while competing in the Truck Series, and is currently tied with five other drivers for the most top-10 finishes in the last eight races with five. No doubt it will be a hot night under the lights in Sparta, Kentucky.
