March 16, 2015

Byron competed in one of the most prestigious Super Late Model races of the year on Sunday, The Rattler 250 at South Alabama Speedway.  The Ratller 250 attracts the best Super Late Model competition from around the country.

Byron topped the speed charts in the second practice session on Saturday with a quick time of 15.119 second.  He was one of the most consistent and quickest cars on the track all day.  He qualified seventh for the event, lining up as the fourth car on the inside line for the green flag.  The leaders tangled on lap two causing a chain reaction that collected 13 cars, most of them on the inside line.  The No. 9 Liberty University Chevrolet was one of the cars receiving extensive damage from the multi-car incident.  Byron was eventually scored in the 25th position.
