William Byron
Hampton, VA (June 20, 2015) - Rookie William Byron led 174 out of 175 laps in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race at Langley (Va.) Speedway to earn his third K&N victory of the season. With the win, Byron extends his lead to 23 points in the overall championship standings after six of 14 races on the K&N East Series schedule.
Byron qualified the No. 9 Liberty University Chevrolet on the outside pole for the 175-lap race, but took the lead on lap 1. Byron never relinquished the top spot despite a field of hard-charging competition and met his HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks Team in victory lane for the third time this season.
The Visit Hampton VA 175 will be televised on NBCSN on Thursday, June 25 at 5:30 p.m.
