Byron Posts NHMS Pole in K&N East

LOUDON, N.H. – NASCAR K&N Pro Series East rookie William Byron is a quick study in his first appearance at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
Byron, from Charlotte, North Carolina, posted a fast lap of 29.703 seconds (128.229 mph) at the “Magic Mile” Friday morning to capture his second career 21 Means 21 Pole Award by Coors Brewing.
A winner of three of the first seven events this year, Byron enters Loudon with the series points lead.
Byron will be joined on the front row for this evening’s United Site Services 70 by Scott Heckert, who laid down a lap of 29.764 (127.967). Spencer Davis – in his first series appearance – was third-fastest at 29.844 (127.624).
Defending race winner Jesse Little qualified fourth while Austin Hill was fifth. Kaz Grala, Ronnie Bassett Jr., Kyle Benjamin, Grant Quinlan and Dalton Sargeant brought home the top 10.
The United Site Services 70 is set to green today at 6 p.m.
