Concord, NC (March, 29, 2013)
Rookie sensation William Byron recorded his first win of his young career when he guided his Dennis Lambert prepared No. 25 Legends Car to a convincing win at the ¼ mile bullring at the Concord Speedway.
Byron has been flirting with Victory Lane over the last few weeks and it was going to be a matter of time until the honor roll student captured his first race. It was a great night for Byron who set fast time a nd cruised to victory after coming close the last few weeks. What makes Byron’s win so impressive is the way he learned to race. While most of his competitors have at least a few years of karting, quarter midgets or Bandolero experience, Byron taught himself to race iRacing on his computer.
“This is so amazing”, said the jubilant racer. “I felt like we were going to get a win soon, but to actually get to do all of the victory lane celebrations is unreal. I can’t thank my family and Dennis Lambert for allthey do for me.I hope the fans enjoyed the race and that I can get back to victory lane soon”.
William will be back at Concord for a Friday/Saturday doubleheader at Concord on April 5th and 6th.
