Hickory, N.C. (May 31, 2014) – William Byron and the No. 9 Liberty University Chevrolet continued its impressive season with a third-place finish as he competed at Hickory (N.C.) Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series (NWAAS) Late Model race. Byron started from the seventh position, but was able to work his way up through precision driving and capitalizing on other’s mistakes.

“I’m thrilled to represent JR Motorsports on the podium for the sixth time in eight races,” said Byron. “We had a great night by coming back through the field and finishing third. We had a ninth or 10th-place car, but we showed how strong the team is by being able to pull out a third-place finish.”

Byron leads the Late Model points standing at Hickory Motor Speedway this season. He will make his ninth start at the track this Saturday, June 7.
