Returns to Berlin Raceway in the No. 24 U.S. Radiator Chevrolet
July 14, 2023 – NASCAR Cup Series driver William Byron and partner U.S. Radiator are coming to Berlin Raceway for the 2023 Battle at Berlin 250. U.S. Radiators joined Byron in a multi-year partnership, debuting at the 2022 Snowball Derby and will be the primary sponsor on the No. 24 Chevrolet for the August 9 event. The Alabama-based company produces American-made radiators and cooling systems, specializing in but not limited to high-performance street rods and custom cars.
"We are excited to see U.S. Radiator back on the hood and quarter panels of the No. 24 Chevrolet and to introduce the U.S. Radiator brand to the Berlin Raceway fans," U.S. Radiator President Philip Cochran said. "A large base of our customers are grassroots people and we are looking to grow in the Midwest region."
The eight-time NASCAR Cup Series winner and current driver and playoff points leader returned to grassroots racing in 2022 with a dominant season in the No. 24 super late model, winning six of his first seven events, including the prestigious Slinger Nationals and the Money in the Bank 150 at Berlin Raceway – both at his first ever visit to each track. He returned in 2023 to pick up where he left off, winning back-to-back races at New Smyrna Speedway (Fla.) in February. He joined forces with Anthony Campi Racing in March and logged runner-up finishes at North Wilkesboro Speedway (N.C) and Hickory Motor Speedway (N.C.) in May.
“I’m excited to get back to Berlin (Raceway). It’s a fun and challenging track,” said Byron. “U.S. Radiator is still relatively new to racing and I think they’ll have a great experience there. Berlin (Raceway) has a great atmosphere and awesome fans.”
