What We Do.

The William Byron Foundation is dedicated to supporting programs that positively affect the lives of youth throughout the United States.

Before he was a championship-contending NASCAR Cup Series driver, William Byron was a “Big” through the Big Brother Big Sisters program while in high school, played football, and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He recognizes the impact that mentorship, guidance, and encouragement have on today’s youth. The William Byron Foundation works to support programs that provide opportunities to children and help them reach their potential.

To date, the William Byron Charity Golf Tournament has been the primary source of charitable fundraising by Byron. He has personally supported The Dale Jr. Foundation, the Martin Truex Jr. Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Carolinas, Speedway Children’s Charities and will continue to do so through the foundation.

The William Byron Golf Tournament

In 2021, William Byron hosted the inaugural William Byron Charity Golf Tournament in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Carolinas at The Peninsula Club in Cornelius, North Carolina. Together they have raised almost seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars. The fourth annual William Byron Charity Golf Tournament is scheduled to take place in April 2024.
